Packaging tape came to life in this extended Art Attack.
Artists Lauren Kolesar-Eatinger and Arlene Shelton used more than a mile of tape to create four “Tape People” and gave them a personal tour of Fort Worth – even before the actual Art Attack.
“The girls” visited the train station, the cultural district, and Staples. They were kicked off museum property, they rode a bike and a skateboard, and they received some bumps and bruises.
On Sept. 24th, they made their “official” appearance in and around downtown Fort Worth….they were a HUGE hit.
Passersby took photos with the “Tape People” and shared them on Facebook and Twitter. People pinched them, kissed them and twirled them over their head.
In their short existence, they did an amazing job spreading the word about WorthGoing.com, but they made some solid friends as well. The relationships they developed along the way should stick forever.

Sticky! This one has my VOTE! XOX
Power to the Tape Girls!
These gals are goofy! But I can tell they had a great time doing this! So entertaining. Nice job spreading the work around town.
Loved seeing where the tape girls went and to see the interaction with people and places. Congrats to Lauren and Arlene for their willingness to put themselves, and the tape girls, out there. 3M probably thanks you also! We made one last year in my art class and put her out in the snow with lights coming from within.
You have my vote also!

As an Art Educator of 9 years, I make every effort to attend an present at State and National Conventions. To this point, I have invested over $14,000 to travel to these annual conventions. When the Arts Council offered this experience, we were so excited to creatively fundraise! As we gained momentum in voting, we were thrilled! Yet, as we are losing percentage points rapidly, we realize that our chance to travel to the National Art Education Association Convention in March is decreasing. With 10 days of voting to go, I feel that it will be nearly impossible to catch up (we have worked very hard, but 20 days of voting is outrageous—10 have been a huge challenge!)
Please let us know about individual teacher travel grants/ funds so that we can make it to this imperative convention covering Innovation, Creativity, and Imagination.
To all of those who have sustained voting for the past 10 days, THANK YOU for your outpouring of support. While we lack large numbers, Two Art Educators have made a ripple!
Support the Arts today! Dance, Theater, Music and Visual AArts Education are essential for growing creative problem solvers who have a healthy outlet for self expression. GO ART!
