More Than Words?

Poet Tammy Gomez wrote a community-minded and engaging poem to finish off the Art Attacks campaign. A single word was painted on brightly-colored boards, and these 12-inch pieces of recycled wood were numbered. When they were laid out in the correct order – end to end – the poem came to life on the sidewalk.

A bright green low-rider was front and center of this Art Attack – generating a lot of curiosity and interest. But it was an interactive and engaging rendition of “Macarena” that ended up stealing the show.
